Most wardrobes have one piece that does more work than all the rest. For the women who shop with us it is usually a cardigan — the thing pulled on over an outfit that was already decided. Chrissieandlo is built around that piece, and around the few others that have to live alongside it.
Our story
One category, done properly
We did not open with a full catalogue. We opened with cardigans, because it is the category that is easiest to get wrong. A cardigan has no structure to hide behind: if the knit is thin it looks cheap, if the shoulder is cut badly it never sits right, and if the buttons pull after a month you stop wearing it. Nobody photographs any of that.
Sweaters, coats and boots came afterwards, and only once we could choose them the same way — by asking whether they would still be worn in a second winter, not just admired in a first.
Our mission
Described as it actually is
Our mission is simple enough to state in one line: tell you the truth about what you are buying before you buy it. That means naming the fabric, saying how a piece is cut and how it is meant to fit, and photographing it as it looks rather than as it photographs best.
It also means saying what we do not know. If a colour reads slightly warmer on a screen than in daylight, we would rather write that down than let you find out when the parcel opens. Nothing here is sold with countdown timers, invented ratings or a price that was never really higher.
Our vision
A small shop you come back to each autumn
We would rather be the shop you return to every September than the one you scroll past every week. That means a short seasonal collection instead of an endless catalogue, held to a narrow palette of oatmeal, camel, charcoal, cream and grey, so that pieces bought a year apart still work together.
What we offer is straightforward: women’s cardigans, sweaters, coats and boots for the colder months, priced in GBP, with free tracked delivery throughout the United Kingdom and a 30-day return window from the day your order arrives.
Where your order ships from
We would rather you knew up front
We are a registered German company selling into the United Kingdom, and our stock is held at a warehouse in Ningbo, China. Orders arrive within 4–12 working days (Monday to Friday) from the day you place them, and that figure already includes the 1–2 working days we take to dispatch. That is slower than a UK warehouse, and we put it here rather than at the bottom of the terms because you should be able to weigh it before you order. Returns go back to the same warehouse; the address is below and in our return and refund policy.
